Mobile Dental Unit In January, 2006, Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc. (CCHCI) received a grant from the State of Arizona for a Mobile Dental Unit. This unit is currently being used to provide preventive dental services to children enrolled at six elementary schools in the Sulphur Springs Valley: Ash Creek Elementary, Cochise Elementary, Double Adobe Elementary, Elfrida Elementary, McNeal Elementary, and Pearce Elementary. The CCHCI dentist performs initial exams and the registered dental hygienist performs cleaning, fluoride treatment, oral hygiene instruction, and sealants. Additional grant funding is being sought to provide services to families of students and to allow expansion outside the current service area.
