Shirley Bayham-Hicks

Shirley Bayham-Hicks graduated from ASU in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Shirley then went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Arizona in 2000. In the late seventies Shirley served as a Peace Corp volunteer in Costa Rica. Shirley has been with Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc. for the past six years, serving as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Cliff Whetten Clinic in Elfrida. Shirley is a longtime resident of southeastern Arizona. She is a mother of five children; she has been married for 26 years. Shirley has been and continues to be an advocate of "health care for all, regardless of ability to pay" and believes this to be a human right not a privilege.
